Pilates is truly a unique form of exercise. It can be completely customized to suit all ages and fitness levels. Pilates exercise will strengthen and tone your body from head to toe, with a special emphasis on the core – your abdominals, hips, and shoulders. It also will improve your flexibility, posture, balance, and coordination with functional, fluid movements.

To help you get the most effective workout possible, it’s important to understand the basics of the Pilates system of exercise. In order to make your transition into practicing Pilates as smooth as possible, we have designed a personalized one-on-one session specifically for brand new students to help address some of the key principles of Pilates. Before beginning any classes at the studio, all new students are required to attend one private session.


This Session will review the foundation and basics of Pilates exercise, so you can feel comfortable beginning either our mat or equipment program safely. Once you have taken this initial private session, you are now ready to get started transforming your body with Pilates. Choose either the Beginner Mat class or Beginner equipment classes sold by the single class
or in packs of 5, 10, or 20. For the best results, we recommend weekly reformer and mat workouts. You’ll find that these complimentary programs help you progress faster and see the most dramatic changes.

To really see how Pilates can transform your body, it’s recommended to practice Pilates 3 times per week in addition to a healthy diet and cardiovascular exercise program. A private session is recommended at least once per month in order to evaluate your progress and keep your goals on track.
